Day 1 – Bujumbura
Arrive in Bujumbura and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your flight. Overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel or similar.
Day 2 – Bujumbura
After breakfast visit the mausoleum of Prince Louis Rwagasore, a hero of the independence of Burundi. We then climb to the ‘Belvedere’ on the top of the hill, a dominating point of Bujumbura, offering a unique view over Lake Tanganyika. After lunch, drive ten kilometres south to visit ‘La Pierre de Stanley et Livingstone’, reputedly the site where the famous Dr David Livingstone and explorer Henry Stanley first met. Day 3 – Karera Falls – Gitega

After an early breakfast drive south east thru Ijenda where tourists will admire wonderful tea plantations along the road RN7 .visit of the “Source of Nile”,then ‘Chutes de la Karera’, an impressive set of waterfalls locally renowned for having healing powers. Afterwards drive to the town of Gitega; Lunch and visit the National Museum with its collection of artefacts, Gitega city administrative offices,Catholic Location of Mushasha and its different schools, Drive back to Bujumbura for overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel or similar. Day 4 – Kigwena national reserve

Morning drive to Kigwena National Reserve for a walk in the forest to search for its flora and fauna which includes chimpanzees and monkeys including the owl faced monkeys and baboons,visit of the local villages of fishermen ,palm trees plantations … Overnight at Saga Nyanza resort . (BLD)
Day 5: Gombe stream national park-Tanzania

After breakfast, drive the Makamba to take a boat ahead to Gombe Stream It's a great place to see chimps up close and personal as many of the family groups are habituated to humans.Overnight at a guesthouse(BLD) near the park.
Day 6:After breakfast ,we take a boat back to Makamba ,then drive at noon drive back to Burundi for relax at Saga beach and overnight at Club du Lac Tanganyika Hotel or similar (BLD)
Day 7 – Rusizi National Park – Nyungwe National Park
Drive to Rusizi National Park, an area of wetlands that is home to hippos, sitatungas and a wide variety of birds. After lunch cross the border with Rwanda and head to Nyungwe Forest, home to 13 primate species including chimpanzee, blue colobus, and golden monkeys. Overnight at Gisakura Lodge or similar. (BLD)
Day 8 – Nyungwe Forest National Park
An early start to track chimpanzees in the forest, with a good chance of seeing the habituated groups that live here. Afterwards you can search for Angolan Colobus and L’Hoest’s Monkeys. Overnight Gisakura Guesthouse or similar. (BLD)
Day 9 – Butare – Kigali
Drive to Butare and visit the National Museum, one of the best in Africa, with its many ethnographic exhibits. Afterwards head to Kigali and visit the Genocide Memorial at Gisozi. Overnight Hotel Milles Collines or similar. (BLD)
Day 10 – Lake Kivu
This morning visit Camp Kigali, a memorial to the Belgian soldiers who died during the 1994 genocide. Afterwards head to Gisenyi, on the shores of Lake Kivu. Overnight Gorillas Hotel or similar. (BLD)
Day 11 – Lake Kivu
Explore Lake Kivu by boat, before returning to Gisenyi to witness a performance by the traditional Intore dancers. Overnight Gorillas Hotel or similar. (BLD)
Day 12 – Gorilla Tracking
Today you will track mountain gorillas in their natural habitat – one of the most incredible wildlife experiences on our planet. Depending on where the gorillas are to be found, you may trek for a short time, or you could find yourself searching for them for most of the day. Whichever it is, the sight of these majestic creatures will not disappoint. Overnight Gorillas Hotel or similar. (BLD)
Day 13 – Parc National des Volcans
Today you will explore the park further when you track rare golden monkeys – this is one of the only places these primates are found. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight Gorillas Hotel or similar. (BLD)
Day 14 – Parc National des Volcans – Kigali
Visit the park one last time to trek to the grave of Dian Fossey, the famous American researcher who played such an important role in the conservation of mountain gorillas. Afterwards, transfer back to Kigali for your final night in Rwanda. Overnight at Hotel des Mille Collines or similar. (BLD)
Day 15 – Kigali
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
